The film tells the story of the SS training camp which was set up on the personal initiative of Heinrich Himmler in the village of Trawniki, Poland. In this camp, the collaborators from Eastern Europe were trained to become guards and executioners for the Nazi extermination camps. Those trainees also participated in mopping-up operations in the ghettos of Lviv, Lublin, Warsaw, and in other Nazi-occupied territories. The eyewitnesses from the village of Trawniki, former prisoners of the Nazi concentration camps, experts and historians from such countries as the USA, Germany, Poland, Israel, and Russia took part in this film.
